  • What's Involved?

    • The course is designed to develop communication with Deaf people in British Sign Language (BSL) on a range of simple, everyday topics.
    • There are 3 units, which are assessed internally and externally.
    • The course typically lasts 12 to 14 months
    • Lessons are held fortnightly on a weekday evening between 6 and 9pm.
    • Access is provided to Deaf Solutions 3 online 'Student Zone' for course support material.
    • Deaf Solutions 3 offer 'Signature' qualifications: Signature is the leading awarding body for Deaf communication qualifications in the UK.
    • Tutor: Gary L Taylor, with over 20 years teaching experience and twice winner of Signature North West Teacher of the Year Award

    • Course fee £695.00*
    • Exam fee £165.00 (taking the exam is optional)
    • Total including Exam Fees £860.00.

    • with monthly instalments.

  • Qualification

    • Signature Level 3 Certificate in British Sign Language, comprising of the following units:
    • BSL 302 Linguistics
      Expanded vocabulary
    • BSL 321 Receptive Skills
      Understanding more complex BSL conversations
    • BSL 322 Productive Skills

    Progression from Level 3?
    Progression onto BSL Level 4, BSL NVQ6 is possible, depending on the requirements of the student.
